I am blessed to have friends from just about every age group you could imagine. I have precious little ones who snuggle up and share a story or few Cheerios. I have also been blessed by my wonderful friend, Dottie, who is 92. Each and every friend the Lord has given me has blessed me in their own way.
I was recently with a young lady who is so full of the Lord, she just leaks. She has been given a gift from God in the area of dance. We were in an environment where music was on and anyone who felt led, could express themselves through dance. She found a quiet little corner, away from everyone and was just swaying to the music. One look at her and you could tell she was just dying to burst forth in dance before the Lord, but she was holding back. I walked up behind her and told her to stop holding back. All she needed was a nudge and she took off like a butterfly in flight. It was absolutely beautiful to watch her. It was such an expression of love for the Lord. I was truly blessed.
We’ve all been given gifts from God [Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 12:4]. Yours may not be dance, but He has gifted you in other ways. God never gives us a gift to keep for ourselves. He gives us gifts to bless us, but the greatest blessing comes when we share that gift with others.
What gifts has the Father given you that are meant to be shared? Are you a wonderful cook who could share the love of the Lord by ministering to others by providing a meal or dessert? Maybe you are a musician or a writer. Share your gift with others. You might be really good at repairing things…find someone who has something broken…even if it is a heart. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. He has blessed us with every gift we need for the situations He places us in [Hebrews 13:20-21].
So, what are you waiting for? Get busy spreading the love of Jesus.
