This morning when I turned on my computer I saw I had an email from Ghana, West Africa. Friends of mine serve as missionaries there and it is always exciting to hear about what God is doing in Ghana. I was not prepared for the amazing story I read.
One of their interns from the US was camping out in a village with some of the natives, showing them the Jesus film and fellowshipping with them. A gentleman who had watched the film showed up the next morning with his son. He told the intern according to the movie, Jesus heals. His son was blind and deaf and he wanted them to pray to Jesus and ask Him to heal his son.
What an opportunity. The intern began praying over the young man and God moved. Now this young man can hear. He kept trying to say the name Jesus. The intern shared how following the miracle the young man accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Can you imagine? This happened 3 days ago halfway around the world.
God still answers prayers and He is still in the miracle business. Now, just as easily, the intern could have prayed and nothing visible could have happened, but it DID happen. Are you willing to put yourself on the line for Jesus? Are you willing to dive in and pray for someone, fully believing in God to move, at the risk of nothing visible taking place? What have you got to lose other than your pride? Look at what you have to gain.
Jesus did amazing things when He walked this earth. He healed the blind, the deaf, the sick and He raised the dead, just to name a few. Yet in John 14:12 He said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” Jesus said it, which means it will happen. Does it make your head spin to know by having faith in Jesus you can do what He did on earth and even greater things? All He needs is willing vessels who will lay their pride aside and risk it all for Him. Will you?
Oh to have a faith that pleases and amazes our Lord!! Thank you for sharing this encouraging post!!
