My son climbed in the car yesterday afternoon full of excitement. He had just learned you can text any question you have to chacha (242242) and they would reply with an answer. Sam LOVES to discover random bits of information, so this opened up a whole new door for him. Once you send a question, they respond with a text to let you know they are working on the answer. Eventually, the answer will arrive. Now he can ask them all sorts of bizarre questions and learn the answer. He said this was incredible to him and he had a ball sending text messages all the way home.
As I thought about it, I realized I too have a source I can go to with any question I have and I will receive an answer [Psalm 38:15]. I can go to the Lord through prayer or the study of His Word with my questions. Just like chacha, I may have to wait on my answer, but I know an answer will eventually come to me [Daniel 10:11-13].
Deuteronomy 7:9 says “Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.” When we take time to go to the Lord with our questions and concerns, He will not leave us hanging. He may allow some time to lapse because He may be putting other things in motion to bring revelation to us, but He will never ignore us. He loves us and He is always working everything together for our good [Romans 8:28].
Just as my son, Sam, sent text after text to learn from chacha with joy and excitement, we should joyfully seek to learn all we can from the Lord. John 16:24 says, “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”
So, what are you waiting for?
