What do you believe God for today? What is your greatest need from Him at this moment? Nothing is impossible with God [Luke 1:37]. We’re told in Job 42:2 He can do all things and His plans will not be thwarted.
Jesus tells us in Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” What are you asking Him for today? Are you asking out of habit and obedience, yet you don’t really believe it will happen? The Word tells us if we have the faith of a mustard seed, we will see things happen [Matthew 17:20].
We would probably all agree that nothing is impossible FOR God, but how many of us truly embrace Luke 1:37? It says “Nothing is impossible WITH God.” When we go to the Father and pour out our hearts, He hears us. We are His children and He desires to give us good gifts [Matthew 7:11].
Our problem is we focus on our circumstances instead of our Father [Matthew 14:22-31]. We, like Peter, focus on our circumstance we see before us instead of our God and all He is capable of doing that may go unseen. Throughout His Word, the Lord tells us over and over how we can do the impossible WITH Him [Mathew 17:20-21]; however, we have to focus on Him and go WITH Him and as verse 21 says, prayer is necessary…we must ask. When we ask, we are not just stating what we want or need; we are building a relationship with the Lord. We are going to Him and talking with Him and pouring out our hearts to Him. We were designed for relationship with Jesus. He desires to have a relationship with us, so much so, He was willing to die for it [John 3:16].
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” The enemy constantly whispers in our ears telling us God has forgotten us or doesn’t care about us because we aren’t seeing the results we are asking for. Or he will tell us what we are asking for is impossible. When those lies come to us we need to send them straight to Jesus for Him to deal with [2 Corinthians 10:5] and then we need to cling to the truth [John 8:32]. God’s Word is truth. WITH God we can believe He is working in our best interests, even when it may not look like it. When Jesus was being nailed to the cross, the disciples were crushed because they thought all hope was lost as their Savior died before their very eyes. Yet God knew it would take His death to bring eternal life for all of us. It looked like all hope was lost, when in fact all hope was gained. Appearances can be deceiving, which is why we should never trust in our circumstances, but trust in our God.
Psalm 37:4 tells us to “Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” When we have an intimate relationship with Jesus and our heart is set on Him, we can go boldly before the throne and ask for what we want and need then trust our Father in heaven will meet our needs, even when it doesn’t look like it. Go WITH God in all you do, because nothing is impossible WITH God.
