Are you the adventurous type or do you like to have everything planned out and know exactly what is coming? I honestly can be either way. It seems when I am in charge of an event or have a key role in the leadership of something, I want it totally planned out and organized. However, when I am under someone else’s leadership, I can go with the flow and trust the leadership I’m under.
There is no more trusted leader in your life than the Lord. He is faithful and will never leave you nor forsake you [Psalm 18:25, Psalm 145:13, Deuteronomy 31:6, and Joshua 1:5]. You can go where He says to go and stay where He says to stay with the commitment of Ruth to Naomi because He is trustworthy [Ruth 1:16, 2 Samuel 7:28, Psalm 19:7].
If you look through the scriptures, those who did mighty things for the Lord put their complete trust in Him without knowing what they would face. Abraham left his family and his homeland to go wherever the Lord led him to go [Genesis 12:1]. Joseph remained in prison trusting the Lord without question [Genesis 39:20]. David went into battle with Goliath believing the Lord would deliver the enemy into his hands [1 Samuel 17:23-32]. Mary, who was but a child herself, embraced her pregnancy and never looked back [Luke 1:38].
What is the Lord asking you to do today? Is He calling on you to trust Him and His faithfulness in a situation? When He is searching the earth looking for those fully committed to Him, will you raise your hand like Isaiah and declare “Here I am, send me” [2 Chronicles 16:9, Isaiah 6:8]?
Take some time today to sit with the Father and ask Him what He has for you. He is faithful and trustworthy. You can trust Him to take care of you as you experience the journey with Him. If you will trust in Him and His leadership, you will enjoy the ride of your life.
