Got snow? We do and along with some ice. My kids have had a blast out in it and my poor dog is not sure what to think of it. When we opened the door yesterday morning for her to go outside, she took a few steps then turned around and looked at us as if to say, “Really? You expect me to go out in this?” She had us laughing all morning.
As I look out my office window at the beautiful snow, the glare of it almost hurts my eyes. It is the whitest white I’ve ever seen. I can’t help but think of Psalm 51:7 which says “Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”
Does this boggle anyone else’s mind? We can come to Jesus covered in the stains of our sin, and because of the shedding of His crimson blood, we are made whiter than snow [Ephesians 2:13]. Jesus, so undeserving of death…us, so undeserving of forgiveness, yet it is available to all who seek Him with their whole heart [Hebrews 9:14; Revelation 1:5].
Have you taken advantage of the gift of Christ? Are you walking it out each day or are you wasting the gift? We were purchased with a price [Revelation 5:9]. May we live a life that is worthy of the One who gave so much for us.
