Have you ever seen a new father with his little bundle in his arms for the first time? It is a precious sight. They get protective and proud all at the same time. There is nothing like a father beaming with pride over his children.
Hebrews 11 has been referred to as the hall of faith; however, it could also be referred to as the proud Papa chapter. God was so proud of His children for what they overcame and for their faithful commitment to Him. 2 Timothy 3:16a tells us “All Scripture is God-breathed” so we know He chose to brag on His children. If you read through Hebrews 11, you see it is filled with testimony after testimony of the faith of the people of God and the trials and struggles they went through. We build the people in this chapter up to be giants, but in reality, they were men and women who had to live life like you and me. The difference between them and many of us today is they took God at His Word. They trusted if He told them to do something, He would provide the way. If He told them something would happen to them or for them, they counted on it as if it had already been accomplished.
Where do you stand with your faith today? Do you want to believe God for something big? God is in the BIG business. He is in the business of impossible [Luke 1:37]. He is constantly looking for one of His children who will take Him at His word so He can show up and show out [2 Chronicles 16:9].
There are a lot of places you could chose to place your faith today, but the only place that has proven to be faithful and true throughout history is the Most High God [Revelation 19:11]. What are you waiting for? It’s time to make Papa proud.
