Are you facing something that seems huge or impossible? Have you forgotten God specializes in the impossible? Luke 1:37 says “For nothing is impossible with God.” Whatever you’re facing fits in that “nothing” category.
In Deuteronomy 7 the Israelites are about to enter into the Promised Land. They are scared because the nations they are about to enter are larger than them and the armies they will have to battle are stronger and larger than theirs. Common sense would say turn tail and run the other way. It’s impossible. Well, they tried that once and it didn’t go so well. They ended up wandering around the desert for forty years eating bread wafers and complaining about it. They had to dig deep and move ahead, even though it looked like suicide. So what happened?
Deuteronomy 7:1-2 says “When the LORD your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations– the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you– and when the LORD your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy.” Israel did just that; they defeated all seven armies, not because of what they did and who they were, but because of whom God is and what He did.
Our problems and obstacles shrink to nothing when they’re placed beside our big God. You have a choice. Will you turn tail and run or will you fix your eyes on Jesus and move straight ahead believing Him for the impossible?
