Do you ever feel like it’s never your turn? You’ve watched great things happen for others and you wonder if anyone knows you exist. You know God spoke to you about your future, your destiny, but it just hasn’t panned out. Don’t give up hope. Don’t give up on your dream. If God told you it would happen, it will. He is always true to His word.
More than anyone, Joseph could relate. In Genesis 37, Joseph had two dreams that were as clear to him as if he had seen them on a big screen. First, he dreamed he and his brothers were binding sheaves of grain and his brother’s sheaves bowed to his [Genesis 37:6-7]. Then he dreamed the sun, the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to him [Genesis 37:9]. He wasn’t making this stuff up. God was speaking to him. After having such huge dreams, Joseph went through a season of difficulty and testing, but he remained faithful to God [Genesis 37-40].
God had plans for Joseph and He has plans for you and me [Jeremiah 29:11]. Joseph remained faithful to God even when his circumstances could have caused him to throw in the towel. Let’s face it, people down bow down to you or serve you in prison. Yet, Joseph remained faithful to God and God was faithful to fulfill the dreams He planted in Joseph’s heart [Genesis 42].
I have a dream I believe God spoke into my heart almost two years ago that I’m holding onto until I see it fulfilled. There are times when it seems more realistic than others, but whether it seems possible or not, I’m holding onto it. My circumstances will not dictate my belief in the possibility of seeing it become reality because nothing is impossible with God [Luke 1:37].
What dream has He placed inside of you? Are you willing to believe? Are you willing to hold on until the impossible becomes possible? He’s calling all dreams to take a leap of faith. Will you leap with Him?
I’m reading Charles Swindoll’s book on the life of Joseph. What a wonderful read!
Thank you for this post. Speaks LOUDLY into my heart. Happy Birthday, Susan. Have a wonderful day!!
