Have you done anything for someone else lately? Or do you feel like you live in your own little corner in your own little world?  We can get so caught up in what is going in our life with our job, our family, our homes,  or our classes we forget there’s a whole world of people out there…a world of people who need someone to be Jesus with skin on them.
Jesus tells us to love our neighbors [Leviticus 18:19, Matthew 19:19].  In fact, He felt only one thing should take priority over loving your neighbor, and that’s loving God [Matthew 22:38-40].  He tells us in Acts 1:8 to be witnesses for Him from home to the ends of the earth.  Obviously, Jesus feels other people need to be high on our priority list.  So, why aren’t they?
Sometimes, we’re like a horse with blinders on, clueless.  We only see what it right in front of us.  It would be different if that one thing we see is Jesus, but if it isn’t, then we need to rethink our focus.  We are called to be in the world but not of the world [John 17:14-16].  We can’t be Jesus with skin on and live in our own little world.  It just isn’t possible.  So, what do we do?
Nothing!  We can’t do anything about it in our own strength.  We can; however, seek the Holy Spirit and ask Him to give us the eyes of Christ to see situations and others as He sees them.  We can ask Him to give us the heart of Christ to love people as He does, warts and all.  We can give Him our hands and feet to do as He sees fit.  Basically, we can die [Matthew 10:39].  When we willingly set aside our plans and begin to embrace His, we decrease and He increases.  Then, and only then, do we begin to see the world around us….the world He placed us in to make a difference.
Take a deep breath and open your eyes?  What do you see?  Now, what are you going to do about it?
