Do you like tea? If you’d have asked me ten years ago, I would have definitively said “No!” I’ve never cared for iced tea, no matter how many times my mother poured me a glass at dinner growing up. Now don’t go unfriending me on Facebook or unsubscribe to my blog. I promise other than my dislike of iced tea (and grits, but be a lover not a hater), I am as southern as they come. Thanks to my friend, Pam, I now really enjoy hot tea, especially rooibos or anything chai, but I’ve not really found a cold tea that I care for… that is until last night.
I attended Not For Sale’s REBBL tea launch party last night and I can say I’ve now found a cold tea I can drink. More than finding a flavor I enjoyed, I’ve found a cause I can get behind. Not For Sale is an awareness campaign that fights human trafficking around the globe. When they learned of some of the atrocities taking place in the Peruvian Amazon, they set out to create a solution. Through the production and distribution of REBBL tea, they are able to pay people in the Peruvian Amazon a fair wage for their labor as they harvest key ingredients for this tea. No longer are these people victims of forced labor nor do they have to send their children away for a better life, only to learn those who offered it to them were traffickers in disguise. REBBL tea offers hope to those who were hopeless and you can be a part of their story.
Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” You can be a witness of the love of Jesus to the Peruvian people by partnering with Not For Sale. You’ve heard it said, “Give a man a fish and feed him for a day; teach him to fish and feed him for a lifetime.” By providing a small donation to establish the production centers for Rebel tea, you’re part of the team teaching the Peruvian people how to provide for their own needs.
Whether it was the woman at the well or the lame man by the pool of Bethesda, Jesus always met people where their greatest need was and then He showed them His love [John 4:4-39, 5:2-8]. This is your chance to be Jesus with skin on and show people His love. If you’re willing, go to www.causes.com and type Not For Sale REBBL tea in the search engine. You can view the videos sharing how REBBL tea will make a difference in peoples’ lives and then you can choose to donate. When you donate you will receive four bottles of REBBL tea shipped to your home so you can taste what you’re supporting. REBBL is not available in stores today, but its coming. Keep looking for it in a Whole Foods store near you so you can purchase it and become part of the REBBLlution.
I am glad that you liked REBBL! I agree that it has a great taste, and the story behind the beverage is even better. On behalf of the Not For Sale team, thank you for your post and being a part of the movement to end modern-day slavery!
So glad to do it. I’m completely behind the cause of Not For Sale. Everyone has the right to be free!
