What is the Golden Rule? Do you now where to find it? Can you state it?
There are people of all religions and even those who claim no religion that spout off the Golden Rule. It is a direct quote from Jesus and can be found in Luke 6:31,
Do to others as you would have them do to you.”
So many people are familiar with this statement, but how many people live by it? Do you?
The action isn’t earned or done because you feel someone is worthy. It’s selfless. It doesn’t require large sums of money. It doesn’t require months of planning or a team to help you execute it. It can be simple, spontaneous acts that cost you nothing more than your time…BUT IT SPEAKS VOLUMES WHEN EXECUTED.
This morning, I was going outside to warm up my daughter’s truck before school and noticed something sitting in the front seat of my car. As I stepped out of the garage, I realized it was raining. I quickly started the truck and dashed back into the garage. It was then I noticed the item sitting in my front seat was an umbrella. My sweet husband placed it there on his way to work this morning. He didn’t want me to get caught in the rain without an umbrella. It probably took him two minutes or less, but it was a huge deposit in my love bank.
