Image (8)Are you a fan of winter? I’m personally a summer girl, but I always try to find the best in everything. This morning when I looked outside to see the white covering of the road and my yard slightly covered, I asked God to give me something positive to focus on today. Immediately, my thoughts went to Psalm 51:7,

Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” [NIV]

Have you looked at snow lately? If you live on the east coast, chances are you’ve seen some in the past couple of weeks. Snow is really white, pure white. It is so white, in fact, it’s almost too bright for the eyes, especially when the sun is shining. That’s how white the Lord says He cleanses us. 1 John 1:9 says,

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” [NAS]

I pray you’re safe and warm on this cold winter morning. If you happen to have snow outside your doors, take a moment to look at it, really look at it. That, my friends, is how the Lord sees you when you come to Him confessing your sins. You’re as pure as the fresh fallen snow. I don’t know about you, but it doesn’t matter how cold it is outside, that thought warms my heart.
