Have you ever heard of an organization called Marketplace Leaders? It is a leadership group started by Os Hillman. Their mission statement is:
to equip men and women to fulfill God’s calling in and through their work life and to raise up change agents who will influence the culture for Jesus Christ.”
Simply put, they see their work life and their spiritual life married. They use their platform, their networks, their resources, and anything else at their disposal to do Kingdom work. They have embraced Colossians 3:23-24,
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
I had the opportunity to meet Os and hear him speak a couple of months ago. He is a kind and intriguing man. He has written several books, including Change Agent.
When Os learned about the work I do in the fight against sex trafficking in America, he invited me to be the feature speaker for a Marketplace Leaders Teleseminar this month. We will be discussing sex trafficking in America and my book, Rescuing Hope. You can join us and be part of the conversation. While the first half of the hour session will be an interview format, the later half will allow listeners to ask questions. This is your chance to raise your voice for hope.
Will you join us? Call 712-432-0075 at 6:55 p.m. today to join the Teleseminar. You’ll need the access code 388754. I hope to meet you there. Please share this with your friends. Let’s get everyone around the country to raise their voice for hope and bring this atrocity to an end in our nation. Let’s embody Isaiah 61:1,
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners”
Wonderful! What a great opportunity! Did I miss the date of the Teleseminar in the post? I’d love to listen in.
It’s today, Leah. At 6:55 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Sorry, I missed that in the post. Thanks for the clarification.
Oh darn it I missed it. I wish you had recorded it or have it posted so we could read it!
Mel, they will be sending me the audio from the interview and I will share it on my website. Keep checking back.
