On the Road Again………

Do you enjoy road trips? For me, it honestly depends on where and why I'm traveling. Today, I will hit the road to visit some of the Hopes I mentor. I'll visit four of my girls in two different states to check in, see how things are going for them and give out hugs along the way. One of my girls is graduating from a year long restorative care program. She has wrestled with God similarly to Jacob and is now walking with a new identity in Christ Jesus [Genesis 32:24-28]. It was hard at times, but she refused to give [...]

Circle Up!

How do you respond when someone asks you to pray for something? Do you tell them you will and then go on about your day, praying about it if you remember it? Or do you fear you'll forget so you pray for it right then and there? Do you only pray about it once or do you contend until you see breakthrough? I know it was probably going on, but in 2008 my eyes were opened and my heart began to stir. Did you read any books [...]

A much better view……..

Pismo Beach in California. What scriptures stand out in your mind as ones people quote frequently? John 3:16 is probably the most common verse ever spoken, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Another verse that seems to get a lot of face time is Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I’ve heard people speak [...]

Should we enter enemy territory?

Walking through enemy territory with block pastor, Dave. Have you ever gone somewhere dangerous? A place that would be considered enemy territory? You have to enter with confidence in order to do so, knowing you have the full weight of heaven behind you as you go. In Mark 5:1-20 you find a story of Jesus doing just that, walking boldly into enemy territory. He had traveled by boat to an area where a demon possessed man lived among the tombs.  He didn't choose to live among the tombs.  He was cast there by the people of his village [...]
