Could today be the day?

Have you ever noticed that amazing days start out as ordinary days? The day I got my first full time job was an ordinary day until the phone call came with a job offer. The day my husband proposed to me was just an ordinary day until he got down on one knee. The day I gave birth to my children was an ordinary day until my labor started. How about you? Are there big moments in your life that you would call markers that started off as ordinary days? I'm sure Abraham woke up and went about his daily routine [...]

What’s the attraction?

Do you use magnets on your refrigerator? There are times when my refrigerator looks more like a bulletin board. I have tons of family photos on there, wedding invitations, reminders and, my favorite, artwork from my niece and nephews. I have quite a collection of magnets that I use to hold everything in place. Some of them are weak and slide down the refrigerator over time because the attraction isn't powerful enough to hold. My favorite magnets are from Glory Haus. Do you love a good suspense thriller? You know the kind of movie or book that leaves you on the edge of your seat wondering what is coming next. I can't get enough of them. I witnessed a miracle…..

Do you believe in miracles? I not only believe in them, but when I get out of God's way and allow Him to be God, I get to experience them. Let me explain... This past weekend I had to travel to Greensboro, North Carolina to speak at the Refuse to Do Nothing event at Westover Church. There are several ministries in the Charlotte area I've connected with in the fight against sex trafficking and I wanted to meet with them face to face, so I drove up a day early and stopped in Charlotte. I scheduled one breakfast meeting and one lunch meeting. [...]

The Voice!

Did you watch the season premiere of the Voice last night?  A friend of mine, James Shealy, auditioned.  He was one of the top 100 chosen for the blind auditions out of the 40,000 who tried out.  Unfortunately, none of the judges turned their chair around for him. Their loss, in my humble opinion. So, what does that mean? Does that mean he should go home, find a new dream, and move on? Absolutely not! It just means God has a different way of fulfilling the dream He planted in James' heart long ago. So many times when things don't happen the [...]
