Is something leaking?

Where is the hot water heater in your house? Is it outside, under the house or is it inside your garage? Possibly in a closet somewhere? Ours is in a garage closet. Because of limited storage space, we have a refrigerator that sits in front of the closet. This morning my husband happened to notice water on the garage floor. Upon further investigation, he discovered the water wasn't coming from the refrigerator, as he first thought; rather the water was coming from the hot water heater.
